As we welcome spring, and the resurgence of new life, we invite you to consider with us the “perennial question of existence” posed by American composer Charles Ives in his transcendent orchestral masterpiece The Unanswered Question. Beethoven provides beautiful answers with his marvelous Symphony No. 6, the Pastoral. Hailed as “deliciously exuberant,” violinist Madeline Adkins brings us the extraordinary virtuosity, and colorful sounds, of Korngold’s Violin Concerto.
