We care deeply about our Livermore-Amador Symphony family of musicians, audience members and supporters, and all of our local artists and arts organizations. While we must prioritize the health and safety of all our people by not gathering together, we look forward to coming together again to make music and to help our broad community recover from the impact of this disruptive time. The Arts are always economically vulnerable, and are in particular danger during this extraordinary disruption. If you are in a position to do so, please consider donating to keep the arts alive in Livermore.

Please stay tuned for updates from LAS and ways to remain engaged, connected, and thinking musically and collaboratively!

Special reminders:
Please inform orchestra manager Bryan Waugh and your section leader any time you are ill and must miss rehearsal. Guidelines are on page 2 of the LAS Musicians Handbook.

In light of the serious concerns regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19, we are especially conscious of the need to protect our community and understand if you must stay home due to illness or known exposure. Livermore Schools provided families with the following links to good guidelines to follow during this uncertain time.

General Information and Maps

East Avenue Middle School, 3951 East Avenue, Livermore CA (parking lot is in front of the school)

The music room at East Avenue is the usual rehearsal site, but there may be changes if, for example, school activities conflict with orchestra rehearsals. Dress rehearsals, concerts, and most Tuesday rehearsals during concert week are at the Bankhead Theater of the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center.

Regular Tuesday evening rehearsals (7:15–9:45 p.m.) usually begin in late August, to prepare for a Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center gala in September. Rehearsals follow until early December for a pops concert, family concert, and formal concert. Rehearsals recommence in early January and continue for concerts in February and April until the final concert of the season in late May or early June, except there is no rehearsal in the week immediately following a concert.

There is a dress rehearsal on the Thursday evening prior to each major concert. The formal concerts are on Saturday evenings.
